Operating
on a standard Windows (95, 98, NT) platform the software communicates
with the spectrum analyser either via the serial RS232 port,
a plug-in parallel GPIB (IEEE-488) port or GPIB-Ethernet bridge.
(Note the spectrum analyser must also be fitted with the appropriate
option for RS232 or GPIB.)
The system automatically carries out
a number of tests including -
EIRP
Occupied Bandwidth
Frequency Error
C/No
Each test is compared to user defined limits to determine if
the carrier signal meets the expected standard. If the carrier
signal falls outside the user defined limits, the system raises
an alarm (which can be linked into the station master alarm system). |
