Satelite Internet Access

Here is how it works:

  1. You buy the satellite phone from us - it belongs to you.
  2. You sign-up for an air-time agreement with a service provider. We can arrange this for you, or you can do it yourself.
  3. For Inmarsat services you pay for the calls you make. For Iridium services you pay a monthly service charge plus any calls you make.

Compare these costs with the cost of international roaming on your cellular phone - ant they look very attractive. Now consider that these phones work almost anywhere.

Inmarsat - Call charges

Connection - $ 0.00

For 1000 minutes purchased in advance:

Inmarsat - any International number - $1.90 per minute

For 250 minutes purchased in advance:

$2.10 per minute

There is a $15 service charge each time the block of 250/1000 minutes is renewed.

Monthly subscription - $0.00

Inmarsat airtime rates can be purchased via credit card, or where approved, by monthly credit account.

Iridium - Call charges

Connection - $0.00

Iridium to Iridium - $1.00 per minute

Iridium to any International number - $1.50 per minute

Iridium to Inmarsat (and other satellite systems)- $8.50 per minute

Monthly subscription charge - $21.00 per month

Pricing may vary as the Iridium network is completed and as determined by the satellite gateways. The records generated by the Iridium gateways will determine origination and termination zones of the call. All pricing subject to change with 30 days notice.

Call charges are priced in US dollars and exclude VAT (if applicable). Your credit card company will convert the price to your currency at the prevailing exchange rate on the date of the transaction.

VAT will be added to bills for owners registered within the European Union.

Calls can be purchased in advance by credit card (pay and go scheme), or subject to a credit check and acceptance by our satellite airtime provider, can be paid by monthly account.

Credit card transactions include an authority from you to automatically top-up the 'minute bank' when it reaches a threshold. You can be sure that you will always be able to stay in touch.

It is surprising how cost-effective communication via satellite phone can be!
