Space Mission Simulators

Orbit Research Ltd has a 10 year track record in developing advanced software and hardware solutions for the satellite communication industry.

During that time we have built up an extensive library, capability and body of knowledge in the area of orbital mechanics, software display systems and satellite control and monitoring systems.

We are now developing these systems, with an education theme, to allow young people to benefit from our expertise.

A typical mission will involve a number of young people (assisted by trained facilitators) taking part in space missions. Two teams (mission controllers, and astronauts) will work together in a number of different scenarois - launch, orbital manoevres, docking, science experiments, landing, emergencies - to complete their assigned tasks.

Just as in real life, there will be a number of tasks to be co-ordinated if the mission is to be completed successfully.

Our systems are served from a internet database, allowing remote access to the missions from expernal participants.

This is a major project development and will result in a highly exciting and stimulating learning environment. We would be very happy to develop partner relationships with other organisations in the Aerospace and Education sectors to ensure we build a wide-ranging and worthwhile project with significant future potential.
